Welcome to Louth Male Voice Choir
Welcome to Louth Male Voice Choir
The choir is based in the market town of Louth in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Every summer it sings a concert in the town’s magnificent parish church of St James. Another ten or so concerts and a choral festival competition constitute a typical year’s programme. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings starting at 7.30pm at the Mansion House in Upgate. Prospective new members are always welcome to attend rehearsals. The choir also welcomes invitations to sing at new locations that can accommodate 40 voices or more. To receive occasional newsletters about the choir, register your email address here.

Concert Programme, 2008
On a lovely evening in June a full house at St James’s church enjoyed our performance of a new composition written for us by Fred Goodwin to the words of 3 Shakespeare songs. The concert also featured a 40-strong choir of 7 and 8 year olds in the Kidgate Boys Choir and last year’s winner of the East Lindsey Young Musicians competition, cellist Emma Barnaby.
Central Hall Grimsby is the location for our next concert at 7.30pm on Saturday 11th October when we are the guests of the Orpheus MVC.

Raise Funds for Your Good Cause
We are experienced in working with fund raisers to maximise the potential. In the last year we have helped Elaine Dix and the Pelham Singers to raise over £2.3k for Downs Syndrome, over £1k for both RAFA and Save the Children, and £400 each for a church in North Yorkshire and its local hospital. We normally perform on Friday evenings but we will on occasion consider Saturdays. The location must accommodate a choir of 40 plus and a good audience. Soloist, quartet & compere included.
For further information about how LMVC can help you to achieve your fund-raising objectives outside Louth please contact our concert secretary:

Entries are required by the end of September from young people under the age of 18 on 31st August.
There are thee age groups: under 11; under 14; and under 18.
