Robert Stephenson “Bob” 1922 – 2012

Robert Stephenson “Bob” 1922-2012

Bob Stephenson passed away peacefully in March (2012) at his house in Tealby.  As you probably know, he had a fall in January and had been quite frail since. Bob was a very loyal member of the choir, always attending as many rehearsals and concerts as he possibly could.  He joined in 1994 as a 2nd tenor and served on the committee for several years, participating greatly in The Great Debate, namely the choir uniform!

Paul Firth, LMVC’s secretary said “His softly spoken and quiet manner belied a sharp mind full of reason and good sense.  At concerts he would always take the time to talk to my family; his chats were warmly remembered by my daughters.”

The Choir attended Bob’s memorial service and sang Londonderry Air (Danny Boy) and Gwahoddiad.
